First Pan-Asian Conference “BaltiMix Asia 2018” was a success in Samarkand

The first international conference on the dry building mixtures BaltiMix Asia 2018 was held with success in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, on April 26-28. Samarkand is a capital of the proud Tamerlane, center of culture and science in the Middle Age East, “Precious Pearl of the Islamic World” got together the delegates of the enterprises and organizations from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Kirgizia, Russia, Italy, Germany, Finland and Turkey on its land.

The BaltiMix Asia Conference included in the business program of the industrial exhibition Expo- Russia Uzbekistan 2018 began its work with the Tashkent session, round table on the issues of expansion of the Russian-Uzbek cooperation in the area of the industrial and civil construction and architecture.

15 reports were presented in the course of the main business part in Samarkand. Their subjects covered almost all basic processes in production of the DBM. In addition to the general subjects, typical for all regions, they touched the specific problems of the region. For instance, the Scientific Leader of the Conference, Pro-rector of the MSCU, Chairman of the Committee for Science and Innovative Development of the Construction Industry of the Russian Union of Builders Andrei Pustovgar presented his report “Use of the DBM in the Hot Climatic Conditions”, while the Deputy Head of the Testing Center Irina Aubakirova from the SPbSACU disclosed the topic “Plaster Dry Mixtures for Restoration of the Historic Buildings”.

The deserved attention was given to the producers of the equipment for manufacture, packing and palleting of the DBM. The companies HAVER & BOECKER, MMM ERBA Makina A.S., m-tec and Vselug told about their new developments in this sphere, while the Director for Development of Lahti Precision Oy Gennady Glukhov changed his prepared report, using the video materials collected by him on the eve, “in the field”, in the course of the Tashkent session of the Conference.

The reports devoted to the use of the special chemistry in the production of the building mixtures were a success by tradition. The “chemical” component in the production of the DBM was illustrated by Andrei Glushkov, head of the Building Polymer Department of Wacker Chemie Rus, Sergei Litvinenko, head of the DBM laboratory of the company ETC, Evgenii Udintsev, head of the SKM Products Technical Support Department from Polyplast Uralsib, and Alessandro Carreri representing the Italian company SICIT 2000 S.p.A.

The local colors of the Conference were emphasized in the report of Rakhimboi Rakhimov, Academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Science, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Representative of the Urgench State University, who spoke about his experience in the industrial technology of receipt of the highly strong masonry mortars with application of the ultra-dispersive active mineral additives on the basis of the aches of the rice husks.

The audience showed a special interest to the report of the company Construction Information – Markets of the Dry Mixtures and Gypsum Materials of Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Middle Asia countries: General Features and Specific Peculiarities.

The second day of the Conference was devoted to meeting with the Eden of the East – sightseeing excursion around Samarkand that left nobody indifferent. And the strongest participants reached Bukhara.
